is a small company based in Portland, Oregon, which produces some of the world’s finest traditional cymbals, hand crafted in Turkey. Lines available through CYMBALISTIC include:

HOLY GRAIL
Holy Grail cymbals recreate the sound of jazz music of the 1940s-1960s. Sonically and visually, each instrument is unique, while being remarkably consistent— and consistently excellent. The tasteful dark brown and verdigris patina on the Holy Grails not only looks great, it is integral to the cymbal; the finishing touch on their unique sound – smoky, moderately dark, and complex.

MERSEY BEAT
The cymbals are patterned after a set of cymbals played by the most famous British Invasion drummer hailing from Liverpool. The series includes: very thin 14” hihats, 18” crash-ride, and 20” crash-ride with four rivets. Ostensibly cymbals for pop music, the 20″ Mersey Beat has been very popular with our jazz drummer customers.

LEON COLLECTION
This is a special series of crash cymbals by Cymbal & Gong’s lead smith. Super-fine lathing, unique harmonic profile, with a very dense, lush body. A musical bright sound, “like 602s, but better” was a comment made by our friends in Germany.

MIDNIGHT LAMP
Cymbal & Gong’s name for the “Turk” style of cymbal— we’re getting more of these in 2021 going forward, with a custom design with no hammering on the bell, and no lathing at the edge, for a slightly drier, darker sound than C&G’s usual design.

JANAVAR
Inspired by a 1960s European B8 line, that has been revived in recent years. Lush, lighter weight rock/pop cymbals made of B20 bronze. On Cymbalistic we get them as a special item, with a heavy patina.
